Complete Steps for DLT registration

Choose a DLT Operator:- DLT registration is typically done through DLT operators who are authorized by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). You can choose from various DLT operators such as SmartPing, Jio, Airtel, BSNL, and more.

  • Visit the website of your chosen DLT operator.
  • Register for an account if you don’t already have one.
  • Provide your business details, including the legal entity name, PAN card, GST details, and other relevant information.

Business Verification:- The DLT operator require you to complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process. This can involve uploading certain documents such as the company’s registration certificate and authorized signatory details.

Verification and Approval:- Once you’ve submitted all the required documents and information, the DLT operator will verify your details, this process may take some time.

Confirmation and Access:- Once your registration is approved, you’ll receive confirmation from the DLT operator. Make the necessary payment for registering and using their services. You will gain access to their platform, where you can manage sender IDs, templates.

You can register in any of the DLT platforms among Jio, Vodafone, Airtel, BSNL, SmartPing, Tata Teleservices. We recommend you to register in SmartPing for fast process. You need to pay DLT registration charge Rs. 5900/-.

Header and Template Registration:- 

  • Choose the sender IDs or headers you plan to use for sending SMS. These might include transactional and promotional sender IDs.
  • If you intend to send template-based SMS (like OTPs or order confirmations), you’ll need to register these message templates for approval.

Promotional route: This route is for sending marketing SMS to Non DND numbers.
Transactional route: It is reserved for Banks for sending OTP SMS
Service Implicit: This route is for sending service messages such as login OTP, alerts, informative texts to both DND and Non DND numbers 24/7.
Service Explicit: It is for sending promotional SMS to Non DND.

Note:- As the data of every DLT operator is synced with each other, registration can be done on any one of the DLT platform. These platforms are just for DLT registration. Messages will be sent from the Bulk SMS Service Provider panel. Please note that the specific process and requirements can vary among different DLT operators.
